Humanrights.org recently gave the behemoth athletic apparel brand Adidas an overall grade of A for sustainability. They analyzed policies, transparency and traceability, auditing and supplier relationships, worker empowerment and environmental management. They concluded that Adidas was one of the most sustainable brands in 2019. Their goal is to end plastic waste by making their products out of intercepted ocean plastic. By 2024, they aim to end the use of all virgin polyester in their shoes and apparel.
