Shop by Conscious Credos
When it comes to being sustainable in the fashion landscape, there is no single definition or methodology. We created the Conscious Credos because what might be relevant for one brand, product or consumer may not be relevant for the next.
Biodegradable
Biodegradable is anything capable of being broken down especially into innocuous products or materials by the action of living things (such as microorganisms).
Circular Economy
The Circular Economy can be defined as any item that is designed, sourced, produced and provided with the intention to be used and circulated responsibly and effectively in society for as long as possible in their most valuable form, and hereafter return safely to the biosphere when no longer of human use, thus reducing waste that ends up in landfills.
Supply Chain Transparency
Supply Chain Transparency offers accessible and detailed information about all levels of the supply chain from sourcing to the end of the products life cycle. Also applies to Traceability or tracking where and how a product is made to ensure sustainability and credibility.
Sustainable Material
Sustainable Material pertains to organic materials like cotton that are grown using less water and without the use of harmful pesticides, herbicides, and genetically modified seeds (GMOs); natural materials like hemp, linen or wool; or cellulosic fibers like Tencel, Lyocell or Modal if they are harvested from sustainable forests and have closed loop manufacturing processes to eliminate chemical disposal.
