This is a great way to create less waste during the holidays by turning your old clothes into gift wrap. I took an old velvet top and made it into a luxurious gift bag that is perfect for a wedding or holiday gift. The best part is it can be used again and again. No need to keep buying wrapping paper and throwing it away after one use. You can make your own gift wrap with any piece of clothing. It works just as easily with pant legs or sleeves.
Here's how to do it in 4 simple steps:

- Fold the shirt just under the arm holes and cut across.

2. Discard the top piece and turn the bottom piece inside out.

3. Sew along the raw edge with a sewing machine or by hand.
4. Turn it right side out and you're done!

Use an old ribbon, thread, yard, twine or whatever you have laying around the house to tie it with and you have a 100% recycled gift wrap that cost nothing at all!
